MACDRIVE POWERFUL IN PROFESSIONAL AUDIO MARKET
Digital audio professionals benefit from easy cross-platform file sharing
WEST DES MOINES, IA (15-May-2000) — Mediafour
Corporation has finalized an agreement with Digital Audio Research
Ltd. (DAR)
of the UK to bundle their MacDrive cross-platform software with
DAR's Open Media 8-track Recorder (OMR8). OMR8 is a stand-alone
disk recorder for audio professionals in the broadcast and post-production
industries. It supports a wide range of media including removable
hard drives, magneto-optical and Jaz drives. With MacDrive 2000
as a part of the OMR8 package, DAR's customers will be
able to seamlessly access critical audio files on Mac disks from
the OMR8 Editor software.

This is the first OEM partnership for Mediafour in the audio
recording
industry.
DAR became interested in MacDrive after receiving the MacDrive
Software Developer's Kit (SDK) last November. The MacDrive
SDK is free, and enables companies like DAR to enhance their
own software so as to best take advantage of MacDrive's
abilities. MacDrive provides DAR with a value-added solution
that will save their users time and energy while meeting the
tight deadlines common in the recording industry.
